WALTER

I attended the Walter Baker Presentation at Hotel Empire, which was a refreshing change to the line-up of traditional shows at Lincoln Center during fashion week. We were on the rooftop terrace, the weather was amazing, and there was free booze & food, need I say more?

this is where my camera died so please excuse the change in quality of the pictures, as the rest were taken on my iPad

The collection, I thought, was amazing! I loved the color palette, and the freshness of it. Everything was youthful and looked clean and crisp with amazing detail. Please send in my purchase order for one of each (except the shorts, my legs and shorts are not friends). More photos from other sites here and here. WALTER is available in department stores like Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom.

The Sherri Hill show & my celebrity status

As mentioned in my "Things I did at New York Fashion Week" post, I was invited to and attended the Sherri Hill show during NYFW, which took place at the Trump Tower on 5th Avenue. Kourtney and Kim Kardashian were both there, as their sister, Kendall, was one of the models in the show. Somehow I ended up in the front row 3 seats down from them, which then required me to sign some sort of waiver so that they didn't have to blur my face out in the episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians that this would later air in and I would be in the background of. (I later learned that I was also in the background of an E! News segment on the Kardashians attending the Sherri Hill show.

Anyways, back to the issue more important than my face on television and the lives of the Kardashian sisters - I was in the front row at the Sherri Hill show. And this my friends, is what we like to call Front Row iPhone Action:

Evening, prom and pageant dresses is what Sherri Hill is known for and that is exactly what we saw - beaded, sequined, embellished and feathered dresses came down the runway in different lengths and styles. You can visit Kim Kardashian's website/blog to view some better, more clear pictures (mostly, if not entirely, of Kendall though) from the show here.
